About the co-founders
MARC ACKERMAN
Marc is from the northwestern suburbs of Chicago and was recently the VP of Strategy and Corporate Development for Circle Graphics, an on-demand printing company.
In this capacity, Marc was part of the executive leadership team where he led strategic initiatives, drove M&A activities, acted as the CEO's 'Chief of Staff,' and was directly involved in the daily operations of the company. This role furthered a passion for small business and an understanding of the multifaceted demands placed upon business operators.
Prior to Circle Graphics, Marc's spent nearly a decade in management consulting at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and banking/corporate strategy at JP Morgan.
Marc holds a MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Finance and Business Economics & Public Policy.
WEI ONG
Originally from Malaysia, Wei spent a decade at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) first in Malaysia then in Chicago, where he worked on a broad range of topics and a wide range of industries (from software to industrial goods to pharmaceuticals) across Asia and North American regions.
Most recently, Wei spent a majority of his time as a core member of BCG Chicago's Private Equity & Private Institution practice where he performed 25+ buy-side diligences primarily focused on industrial services, and led multiple growth strategies for portfolio companies.
Wei is also involved with his family’s durian plantation business in Malaysia, preparing him to navigate small business environments and to empathize with the sensitivities of family operations.
Wei is an alumnus of New York University’s Stern School of Business and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
